Student Government Committees

Election Committee

This committee is comprised of at least two presidential appointees who hold no other elected or appointed positions within ASWSU-DDP. All appointees are subject to Senate approval. Some of the duties of the Election Committee include the interpretation of Election Codes, informing and advertising to the student body of upcoming elections, coordination of filing procedures for candidates and ballot issues, and overseeing the Polling Site on the ASWSU-DDP web site. Events Planning Committee

This committee organizes the various student events hosted by ASWSU-DDP throughout the year. These events include Cougar Campus Experience held in Pullman, Seattle Football game reception, DDP Rendezvous held on the west side of Washington state, December and May graduation receptions both held in Pullman.

Public Relations/Recruitment Committee

Committee seeks to positively reflect the WSU community to the public at large.

Student Resources Committee

This committee is committed to providing excellent student services in a variety of methods to the distance student. Contribute your ideas as to how your student government can better serve you. This committee is responsible for honor society items as well as other student resources and activities.

  • Technology Committee

    This committee examines existing and emerging technologies with the goal of implementing technology so that it best serves the student who is involved from a distance. This committee is responsible for updating the ASWSU-DDP website information as well as researching chat rooms, message boards, etc. for DDP students.

    Judicial Committee

    This committee is comprised of three presidential appointees who are named as the Student Justices. All appointees are subject to Senate approval. The three Justices may hold no other elected or appointed positions within ASWSU-DDP. The Judicial committee is the By-law and Constitution interpreting body of ASWSU-DDP, and acts on all cases arising under the ASWSU-DDP Constitution and By-laws. The committee establishes judicial procedures and guidelines by majority vote of the committee and performs other duties as outlined in the ASWSU-DDP By-laws. See Title IV of ASWSU-DDP By Laws for further information. Interested individuals may apply to the President.

    Are you interested in joining an ASWSU-DDP Committee? Please fill out the Committee Request Form.

    To request funds from the ASWSU-DDP student government please fill out the Request for Funds form and submit. The DDP Student Government members will vote on your request in their next senate meeting and you will be informed if the funds have been approved.
