Student Government Committees
The following committee does NOT need Senate approval for its status, as it is granted status in the ASWSU-DDP Constitution & Bylaws and the Chairs are only appointed by the President of ASWSU-DDP:
Diversity Committee
| The purpose of the Diversity Committee is to promote the recruitment, outreach and understanding of all ethnicities at WSU. Both the WSU administration and students throughout each WSU campus recognize the importance of embracing all cultures. By understanding and respecting the differences between all persons is fundamental in understanding the shared human condition we are all a part of. Services offered by the Diversity Committee shall be determined by committee members to further the recruitment, outreach and understanding of all ethnicities.
The goals of this committee are to:
- Advance the recruitment and retention of all minority groups.
- Develop and implement programs and services that inform DDP students of ways to embrace cultures other than their own.
- Foster an atmosphere of cultural learning in order to eliminate prejudice.
To achieve these goals the Diversity Committee should work closely with the WSU Office of Equity and Diversity.

Are you interested in joining an ASWSU-DDP Committee? Please fill out the Committee Request Form.
To request funds from the ASWSU-DDP student government please fill out the Request for Funds form and submit. The DDP Student Government members will vote on your request in their next senate meeting and you will be informed if the funds have been approved.
