Statement:
Hello everyone!
My name is Alexandra Hutchinson. I have lived in Seattle my whole life but I have long standing Cougar roots as my mom and grandma both went to WSU. Besides working and studying I am a very active person who enjoys spending as much time as possible with friends and family. On my own time I love to cook, read, wine taste, go to farmer's markets, explore the beauty of Washington, bike ride and just be outside in general.
This is my second semester using DDP and so far I love it and wish I had known about it sooner since I have found it hard in the past to balance work and go to class. I find the staff very helpful and amazing at responding to any questions I might have. I hope to contribute to this program as well. I am an International Business major and this is the first time it has been offered through DDP. I just completed the study abroad requirement this summer by living in Sevilla, Spain for 6 weeks. Prior to attending WSU I received my AA at Shoreline Community College and have since gone to Seattle University, University of Washington and North Seattle Community College so I have defiantly experienced a wide variety of different academics.
I believe as a DDP student it is very important to be involved since we don't have a chance to interact as in a normal college setting. This is my first time as senator for DDP. I hope to make connections with the other DDP students, advisors and professors and bring in a new perspective of being a DDP student that has studied abroad and is using a new BA program. I am on the technology committee and the events planning committee if you have any ideas or concerns please don't hesitate to contact me.
