Statement:
Hello to all the DDP students. My name is Larry Lawrence and I was very happy to be appointed Vice President by the current members of the student government for the 2009 - 2010 Academic year, after being elected senator, and serving as Vice President for the 2008 - 2009 year. I am looking forward to being able to serve the DDP student body this year.
I am currently working on my third year as a DDP student and so far it has been a challenge, but I am learning a lot so far and enjoying my classes. Also being a leader for the DDP student body has been a very rewarding experience, and I have been able to collaborate with other student leaders throughout the WSU community. I started my college studies at De Anza College in Cupertino, California way back in the 80's and never finished, so I am looking forward to finishing my degree at WSU, with My Major as Business MIS. I currently reside in North Las Vegas, NV. The reason I have stayed with the DDP program at WSU is it allows me flexibility for my studying. It also doesn't hurt that I have an Uncle and Cousin that both attended WSU, and my nephew has started his second year on the Pullman campus. So WSU runs in my family.
To go along with my work and studies, I love working out and keeping fit (although these days it's been tough), as well as watching sports on TV, and I like movies and good books. I am not much of a cook but I try.
